SHERLOCK (started on 2010)
To be honest, after watching both the latest Sherlock Holmes movies I was not hoping much from this series.
Specially after watching Robert Downey Jr. as Sherlock Holmes I was not expecting much from Benedict Cumberbatch who
is playing the role of Sherlock Holmes in this series. What Robert Downey Jr. did was mind blowing. He gave proper
justice with this character.
But when I saw the first episode of this series, I must say I never missed anything. Benedict was equally amazing
as Sherlock Holmes. He has done proper justice with this character, just like Robert has done in the movie.
Same is applicable to Martin Freeman as Dr. John Watson.
Now coming back to the series, these two are in the 21st century and solving crimes. There is not a single moment
in this series in which you might feel bored. It is a very entertaining series which is getting better and better
after every episodes. After watching the first episode, I was mesmerized by Benedict as Sherlock and Martin as
Dr. Watson. The episode was equally amazing. I immediately started the second episode, and my reaction didn't
change. Instead it forced me to start the third and final episode of first season immediately. And the third one
was a master stroke. I mean this is how a season finale should be. After watching it for the first time, I started
downloading the second season and in the mean time I watched the finale again.
In short, if you are a fan of Sherlock Holmes then you are up for a treat.
Even if you a die hard fan of Robert Downey Jr. as Sherlock and cannot see anyone in this role, then also
watch this series as Benedict and Martin have done amazing work in this series which cannot be looked down upon.
And if you are not a fan of either, then also please try this as you might change your decision and become a
fan of Sherlock Holmes.
